Chinese Diet – Can You Really Lose Weight Fast With a Chinese Diet
Do Chinese diets really work? Is it possible that Chinese people are so thin because of all the food they eat from Chinese buffets? It’s no secret that America ranks as one of the most overweight nations in the world. Contrast this with people living in China or of Chinese heritage and you start to wonder how or why this is so. It is not as if you never see an overweight Chinese person, but they are a minority and China definitely doesn’t suffer from the same dangerous obesity problem that America and other Western nations currently do. So can you lose weight by eating just Chinese food? How is it possible that the food you see in Chinese buffets can help you lose weight? The short answer is yes, you really can lose weight by eating Chinese, but you shouldn’t be eating Chinese buffet food if you want to lose weight. The key to losing weight is found in traditional Chinese food.
How is traditional Chinese food any different to food found in buffets? The food you find at your buffet is usually very greasy and fatty, which makes it obvious why this kind of Chinese food is as bad as eating other takeaway food. The truth is that the food you find at the buffet in no way represents what Chinese people eat at home (no matter which country they live in) or even in restaurants in China. Chinese food in buffets has been altered to suit the tastes of locals, so if the only Chinese food you’ve ever eaten was from a Chinese buffet, then you’ve never eaten real traditional Chinese food. Traditional food is much healthier and is why Chinese people always manage to stay thin.
This is what usually makes up a Chinese diet. Chinese people don’t count carbs. That’s right. They don’t check out food packaging to see the amount of calories the food they are about to buy contains. This means they aren’t actively looking to see what goes into the food they eat. They go for balance in any food they buy and eat. Just what and why is balance important? Balance means Chinese people traditionally do not over indulge. It is common for Americans to eat meals that consist primarily of one thing, typically meat, and very little of anything else, like vegetables. There is no proportion. Traditional Chinese meals consist of a little of everything. If you walk away today with just one thing, then this is probably the key point to a healthy Chinese diet. Chinese always make sure they have a healthy dose of vegetables and everything else and this is because of them always striving for balance. Another striking contrast between Western and Chinese meals is how fresh or natural meals in China are. They instead prefer to eat meals that consist of more natural and fresh products.
Following a Chinese diet and losing weight is simple once you see the concept behind their meals. A quick look at how traditional meals are made and it is no wonder why. Keeping a balance and remembering that you are eating real food and not something that was prepared or processed in advance is key to understanding why you rarely, if ever, see overweight Chinese people. If the only Chinese food you know of is the kind found in buffets, then why not try to cook your own traditional Chinese food? You might find that losing weight with a Chinese diet is much easier than you thought.
